Boys Tennis: Monarchs fall to Shenandoah 9-0
The Monarchs hosted conference foe Shenandoah in their first home match of the season.
Competive matches throughout the evening but the Shenandoah experinced proved to be too much in a 9-0 victory over Denison-Schleswig. The Monarchs still seek their first match victory and fall to 0-2 as a team.
JV fared well in a 5-5 tie with the Mustangs. Singles victories came from Ryder Lee, Brody Skarin, and Lazaro Rivera-Acosta. The Monarchs had two winners in doubles action from the combos of Totten/Baker & Cid/Lee.
Coaches Comments from Aaron Ratliff:
"Shenandoah had an experienced squad that outplayed us. Match experience will help our young squad and we’ve got some work to put in this season to start competing against some of the better programs."
The Monarchs will be in action on Saturday in tournament play in Boone.
