Daniel D. Miller
Services 87 year old Daniel D. Miller, of Manilla, will be held on May 24th, 2025, at St. Peters Catholic Church in Defiance at 11:00 a.m. with luncheon to follow at St. Peters Hall as well as a private family burial.
Daniel passed on Saturday November 30th in Texas.
Survivors include his partner, Sharon Fast; children Danny Miller of Manilla, Mary Harper of Walnut, step-daughters Jamie Fast of Jefferson, Patty Fast and family of Spirit Lake; son in law Jeff Peters of Colorado; sister Sheila Cline of Lohrville; brother Giles Miller of Des Moines; seven Grandchildren; two Step-grandchildren; six Great-Grandchildren and one more on the way; three step great-grandchildren.

Alfred “Lyle” Miller
A Celebration of Life for 75 year old Alfred “Lyle” Miller, of Manilla, will be held on Sunday, March 30th, from 2:00 to 5:00 pm at the Golden Leaf Lodge on Main Street in Manilla.
Lyle died on March 13 at Manning Senior Living in Manning.
Lyle is survived by his wife, MaroLee Miller of Manilla; son Michael Miller of Manilla; son Patrick Miller and wife Amanda of Manilla; daughter Kathleen Miller and Matt Moesner of Iowa City; three grandchildren: Casey, Camden and Lily; brother Alan Miller and wife Sue of PA; sister in law Mary Miller of Manilla; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Celebration of Life for brothers 46-year-old Richard Luth and 53-year-old Randy Luth, of Denison, will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, March 29th at the Pauley Jones Funeral Home in Denison with burial to follow in the Morgan Cemetery in Schleswig.
Visitation with family greeting friends will be held at 11:00 am until the time of the service at 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 29th at the funeral home.
Richard passed away on Monday, January 27th at his home.

Funeral services for 65 year old Rose Bumsted, of Nemaha, will be held at 10:30AM on Wednesday, March 26th at the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Sac City.
Visitation will be from 5-7pm on Tuesday, March 25, with a prayer service to follow all at Farber & Otteman Funeral Home in Sac City.
Burial will be in the St. Clair Cemetery in Ute.

Mass of Christian Burial for 74-year-old Cecil Joseph Blum Jr, of Denison, will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, March 25th at the St Michaels Catholic Church in Harlan with burial in the Harlan Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 5:30 to 8:00 pm on Monday, March 24th with rosary beginning at 5:00 pm prior to the visitation at the church.
Cecil passed away on March 14th at Bergan Mercy Medical Center.

Mass of Christian Burial for 97 year old Gladys Irene Ahart will be held on Saturday, March 22nd at 11:30 AM at the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Denison.
The rosary will be recited at 9:00 AM, with family receiving friends from 9:20 AM to 11:30 AM.
She peacefully passed away on March 3rd at Gracewell in Denison.
She is survived by her children: Dan (Pat) Ahart (Denison IA), Jean Ahart (Auburn IA), Mark (Kris) Ahart (Enumclaw WA), Joel Ahart (Odebolt IA), Neal Ahart (Denison IA), Ned Ahart (Denison IA), Mary (David) Bilsten (Denison IA), Alan (Cindy) Ahart (Denison IA) and Jon (Mari Beth) Ahart (Kasson MN); 16 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Gladys is also survived by special friends, Debbie Ahart Muhlbauer and the Kregness and Koester kids, who were cherished in her life.

Mass of Christian Burial for 89-year-old Virginia Klein of Dunlap will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 8th, at the St. Patrick Catholic Church in Dunlap. Burial will be at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4:30 ~ 7:00 p.m. on Friday at the St. Patrick Catholic Church in Dunlap with a rosary at 4:00 and a scripture service at 7:00.
Mrs. Klein died at her home on March 3rd.

He passed away Saturday, March 1st.

Funeral services for 93 year old Glenn Harvey Freese, of Vail, will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Friday, February 28th at the First Presbyterian Church in Vail. Burial will be in the Wheatland Cemetery near Breda.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 27th from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the Church. Visitation will resume Friday morning at 9:30 A.M.
Glenn passed away on Sunday, February 23rd at Gracewell Eventide Care Center in Denison.
