Carroll Woman Pleas Guilty To Taking Prescription Drugs From Patients Out Of Greene County

(Carroll Broadcasting) A Carroll woman has entered a plea agreement with prosecutors for taking prescription drug medications from patients while being employed as a nurse. According to Greene County District Court records, 41-year-old Rahni Brower has pled guilty to one count of prohibited acts with a controlled substance, a class C felony, for unlawfully obtaining 12 oxycodone pills, Celebrex, and Prednisone from patients she took care of back in 2022 while employed for Carroll Area Nursing Services. Per the agreement, Brower would have the 10-year prison sentence suspended and serve three years’ probation, paying $1,370 in fines with a 15 percent surcharge. The remaining three charges would be dismissed. A sentencing hearing has been scheduled for April 14 at the Greene County Courthouse. Brower is currently serving two years probation for similar charges out of Carroll County.
