Crawford County businesses invited to participate in St. Patrick’s Day promotion

Crawford County, IA — The Chamber and Development Council (CDC) of Crawford County is gearing up for its Lucky Local Giveaway, a St. Patrick’s Day shopping promotion that will run from March 10 to March 15, 2025. Local businesses are encouraged to participate in the event, which will give shoppers the chance to win prizes while supporting local retail.

The giveaway is designed to promote shopping within the community, offering both in-store and grand prize drawings for shoppers. To enter, customers simply make a purchase at any participating store, earning one entry for every transaction. Entries will be placed into the store’s individual drawing for a chance to win a $25 gift card to that store, and also into the grand prize pool, where three major prize bundles—containing gift cards from all participating stores—will be drawn on March 17, 2025, St. Patrick's Day.
Promotion Details:
- Event Dates: March 10–15, 2025
- How to Participate: Make a purchase at any participating business to enter both the in-store and grand prize drawings.
- Bonus Entries: Shoppers can earn an extra entry into the grand prize drawing by sharing the event’s Facebook post. Additionally, purchases made on Saturday, March 15 will count for double entries.
- Free Entry: Individuals can earn a free entry into the grand prize drawing by visiting the CDC office at 109 N Main Street in Denson, IA.
Merchant Responsibilities:
To participate, businesses are asked to contribute two $25 gift cards to the prize pool. The CDC will assist with providing entry collection buckets and entry sheets, and will also support any marketing materials needed for the event. Participating businesses are encouraged to offer promotions or sales in conjunction with the giveaway to further drive local shopping.
Prizes and Drawings:
- In-Store Drawings: Each participating store will select a winner from its entries for a $25 gift card.
- Grand Prizes: A combined drawing will determine three grand prize winners, who will receive bundles of gift cards from participating businesses.
- Prize Announcement: Winners will be revealed on March 17, 2025, via Facebook and will be contacted directly.
