Sharp, Klein to Receive 2025 Greyhound Award
The Dow City-Arion Alumni Association has named Mariellen Sharp and the late Jodi Klein as the 2025 Greyhound Award recipients. They will be honored at the annual Alumni Banquet on May 24 at the former DC-A School Gym in Dow City.
Sharp, a 1979 Dow City-Arion graduate, set multiple basketball records and dedicated nearly three decades to the Boyer Valley School District in various roles. Known for treating the school like her home, she’s deeply involved in the community and her grandchildren’s activities.
Klein, a longtime Boyer Valley school nurse, cared for students far beyond medical needs, often covering personal expenses for those in need. She passed away in 2023 following a battle with cancer, but her legacy lives on through a student support fund established in her honor.
