Storm Lake Middle School Evacuated Following Bomb Threat

Storm Lake, IA — A bomb threat at Storm Lake Middle School this morning led to the immediate evacuation of students and staff as authorities worked to ensure everyone’s safety.
The threat was discovered early in the school day, prompting a swift response from local authorities. Officers from the Storm Lake Police Department, along with personnel from the Storm Lake Fire Department, quickly arrived at the school to assist in securing the area and conducting a thorough search of the premises.
School officials worked closely with law enforcement to facilitate the evacuation of all students and staff, ensuring that everyone was safely relocated while authorities conducted their investigation. A comprehensive sweep of the school grounds and buildings was carried out, but no explosive devices were found.
The school was deemed safe, and students were allowed to return to the building after the all-clear was given. The Storm Lake Police Department confirmed that the investigation into the threat is ongoing, though no further details have been released at this time.
