Dakota City councilman among 2 dead in UTV-vs-pickup crash
(Radio Iowa) Two people were killed, a third was hurt, when a UTV and a pickup collided Saturday in rural Humboldt County.
The Iowa State Patrol says a 2021 Polaris Utility Vehicle operated by 43-year-old Theodore Prenger of Dakota City was traveling south when it failed to stop and yield the right of way at the intersection where it was struck on the passenger side by the front end of an eastbound 2004 Ford F250 pickup truck driven by Terry George of Hardy.
Theodore Prenger and his passenger, 56-year-old Teresa Ann Prenger, died of their injuries in the accident.
George was transported to the Iowa Specialty Hospital in Clarion for treatment of his injuries.
Reports say Ted Prenger was a city councilman in Dakota City.
