Firefighters From Five Area Counties Respond To Hay Fire On Audubon And Carroll County Line
On Tuesday, June 20th, five area fire departments responded to a large hay fire south of Manning on the Audubon and Carroll County line. At approximately 4:01 pm, the Manning Fire Department was dispatched to 1130 100th Street, east of the Puck Enterprises facility, due to a fire in a large square bale storage area. As a result of the abundant fuel, the Templeton, Manilla, Irwin, and Kimballton Fire Departments were also called in to assist. Firefighters extinguished the blaze after nearly four hours on the scene, however, a nearby shed was destroyed.
