Early Morning Mobile Home Fire in Denison Involves Multiple Vehicles, No Injuries Reported

Denison, IA – March 25, 2025 – At approximately 1:56 a.m., emergency crews from Denison, Manilla, Dow City, and Vail were dispatched to a reported mobile home fire at 1903 3rd Avenue South in Denison. Upon arrival, firefighters found a mobile home that was approximately 50% engulfed in flames. Fortunately, all occupants had safely evacuated the structure before emergency responders arrived.
In addition to the mobile home, two vehicles were fully involved in the fire, with a third vehicle beginning to off-gas. The mobile home was located next to a Team Ford property, prompting immediate exposure protection efforts. Fire crews used two initial hand lines to contain the fire, which eventually transitioned to full extinguishment.
By 5:11 a.m., one unit remained on fire watch to ensure the fire did not rekindle. Denison Police Department (DPD), Crawford County Sheriff's Office (CCSO), and Crawford County Memorial Hospital (CCMH) all assisted in clearing nearby mobile homes to ensure the safety of the community.
Thankfully, no injuries have been reported. Damage assessments are still pending, and the fire remains under investigation by local authorities.
