‘Hands Off’ rallies held in 15 Iowa cities

Rallies were held in over a dozen cities in Iowa this weekend, part of a nationwide day of protest against President Trump’s actions and the budget cuts a team led by Elon Musk are making.
“I really cannot believe what I’m seeing,” said Judy Felder, who attended a protest in Iowa City. “I’m in shock, and I think that’s part of what they’re doing, is shock and awe, as fast as they can.”
The largest ‘Hands Off’ protest was held at the state Capitol.
Protesters and speakers at the rallies criticized the Trump Administration's actions and criticized Congress for failing to be a check on agency closings, layoffs, and other budget decisions being made by Musk’s “DOGE” team.
Events were held Saturday Ames, Cedar Rapids, Council Bluffs, Davenport, Decorah, Des Moines, Dubuque, Fairfield, Iowa City, Lisbon, Mason City, Maquoketa, Mount Vernon, Red Oak and Waterloo.
