Veterans and their families are invited to attend a comprehensive Veterans Benefit Briefing on Monday, April 7, 2025, from 6:00 to 7:30 pm at the Ricketts Community Building, located at 301 Oak Street in Ricketts. The event will be hosted by the Veteran Service Officers from Crawford, Ida, Monona, and Woodbury counties, offering an in-depth overview of available benefits and recent changes.
The briefing will cover a variety of important topics, including service-connected compensation, pension benefits, survivor benefits, VA healthcare, and more. Attendees will also have the opportunity to ask questions and meet one-on-one with county service officers to discuss specific concerns or learn more about their eligibility.
Louise Galbraith, with Crawford County Veterans Affairs, shared her excitement for the event: “This is a great opportunity for veterans and their families to get the information they need about their benefits. We’re thrilled to once again collaborate with our neighboring counties to provide this valuable service. Our previous event was a huge success, and we look forward to another productive evening.”
The event is free and open to all veterans, spouses, and family members. It provides a chance for those in attendance to gain a better understanding of the resources available to them and how they can take advantage of the benefits they’ve earned.
