New era underway at St. Anthony

Yesterday, December 7th, marked the beginning of a new era for the St. Anthony Regional Hospital Cancer Center, as a year and a half after breaking ground on the new facility, they opened to patients. The roughly 16.5 million dollar facility is a way the hospital feels will empower them to take their treatment services to the next level. Cancer Services Director, Lori Pietig told reporters that it is unheard of for a community the size of Carroll to have this type of treatment center and it even rivals those found in larger cities. In any other year, it would be typical for the center to hold an open house to celebrate the new facility with 2-3 thousand visitors coming through. There is hope that could take place this coming Spring.
