IKM-Manning shows out at BVU Elite HS Indoor Meet
Multiple area teams competed at the BVU Indoor Meet on Monday night and place finishers all across the board. IKM-Manning coaches Kyle Vanderhorst and Emma Konkler had high hopes for their respective track teams this year and although a different pace from outdoor meets, greta times and results were shown.
Starting with girls results, place finishers included Morgan Hast of Boyer Valley who would finish 6th in the 60M with a time of 8.28. Hast would finish 4th in the high jump as well with a high of 5-00 and 3rd in the 200M with a time of 28.45. Her teammate Clara Gorham would place 8th in the 800M with a time of 2:41.83 and 7th in the 1500M with a time of 5:31.50
Olivia Linde of IKM-Manning would finish 4th in the 60M hurdles with a time of 10.13 and 5th in the high jump. Linde would also help lead the Wolves to a 5th place finish in teh 60M shuttle hurdles. In the very same event East Sac County would finish 1st with a time of 42.94.
Looking at the rest of the relay results, IKM-Manning would put two teams on the track for the 4x200 and both would place finishing 8th and 5th. IKM-Manning would also place 5th in the 4x400.
Sylvia Sullivan of Boyer Valley finished 5th in the shot put with a best throw of 9.83.
In the boys events, Brock Kusel of IKM-Manning finished 8th in the 60M hurdles with a time of 9.33. The Wolves would bring back two place finishers in the 200M with Abe Polzien (3rd) & Max Butler (8th). In the 400M, Tyson Smith of IKM-Manning finished 6th with a time of 54.73. Justin Heiman of Boyer Valley finished 3rd in the 400M with a time of 53.58.
Three area athletes would place in the distance events starting with the 800M where Isaac Blankman of IKM-Manning finsihed 5th with a time of 2:12.98 and Riley Aragon of East Sac County finished 7th with a time of 2:16.64. Landon Sporrer of East Sac County finsihed 6th in the 1600M with a time of 5:06.83.
