UNI men visit SMU Wednesday night in NIT opener
The UNI men will visit SMU Wednesday night in the NIT. The Panthers are 20-12 after a third place finish in the Missouri Valley Conference. Panther coach Ben Jacobson says the addition of the Crown Tournament in Las Vegas made him feel confident they would get a postseason bid. Jacobson says SMU will provide a tough test. The Mustangs are 23-10 and finished 13-7 in the ACC. Jacobson is not concerned about the short prep time. Jacobson says the Panthers look forward to the challenge.
