UNI tight end, Woodbine alum, Layne Pryor declares for 2025 NFL Draft
On Tuesday, UNI tight end Layne Pryor announced that he will declare for the 2025 NFL Draft after his four-year career at Northern Iowa.
The Woodbine alum racked up nearly 500 receiving yards and caught 4 touchdowns in his four years at UNI and has made the All-Missouri Valley Conference Honorable Mention team twice including this year.
His career at Woodbine included As a senior, posting 1,191 rushing yards and 624 receiving yards, tallied 34 touchdowns, and led the team in tackles with 69 with 15 tackles for loss and six sacks ... in 2020, finished his career second in Iowa 8-man history with 211 catches for 3,512 yards and 52 touchdowns ... two-time discus champion at the Iowa high school track and field championships ... was second in the shot put at the state championships in 2021 and qualified for the 100-meter and 200-meter dashes ... 2021 Drake Relays discus champion.
The 2025 NFL Draft will occur on Thursday, April 24th-26th in Green Bay, WI.
