As Woodbine prepares for State, a preview of St. Edmond matchup with Kyle Bartels
Woodbine will play in the IHSAA Boys State Basketball tournament for the second straight year. Last year Woodbine drew the eventual state champs in North Linn, and after the game, the team felt like there was 'unfinished business' on the table.
And now here today, the Tigers claim the sixth seed in Class 1A as they take on St. Edmond from the Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines. Woodbine punched their ticket 11 days ago in Council Bluffs with a 50-41 win over rivals Coon Rapids-Bayard to claim the Substate Title.
Tip-off for tonight's contest will be at 3:45 PM on KDSN 105 the Hive, and before the game Kyler Bartels, Head Coach of Woodbine with a preview and pregame thoughts ahead of tonight.
