Denison-Schleswig Volleyball Drops Their First Match of the Season

Denison-Schleswig volleyball suffered their first loss of the season last night to the Harlan Cyclones 3-1. In a back-and-forth match between the two Harlan took set 1 25-21. The Monarchs would respond by winning the second set 25-20. Heading into the important 3rd set the Cyclones won the set 25-20. The 4th set was a battle between the two teams to the very end, but it was Harlan winning the set 25-23 to take the match and hand the Monarchs their first loss on the season. Mayah Slater led the way for the Monarchs with 9 kills, 2 aces, and 2 blocks. Hope Preston had a big presence at the net for the Cyclones with 9 kills, 1 ace, and 4 blocks.
