Hog Wild Motorcycle and Car Show This Saturday in Denison
The Hog Wild Motorcycle and Car Show takes place on Saturday in Denison. Organizer Scott Meyer discussed the timeline for Saturday. “We’re starting in the morning on Saturday at 8:30 am with our registration and that runs until Noon; so we are accepting vehicles until Noon with our registration and the show is open for the public to come and enjoy. We have judging going then from noon until about 3 or 3:30 by the time our judges get done. Then at 4:30 we have an award ceremony for our placings for all our competition with all of our classes.” Meyer said there’s several sponsors involved giving away trophies as well. “We also have sponsor trophies that are given out by all of our sponsors. We have a number of sponsors that have helped us with this show so they all get to pick their favorite ride. Something new we’re trying this year at 2 is what we’re calling the ‘Loud Pipe Contest” so anybody that wants to enter with their car or motorcycles or whatever pickup, whatever it is, can enter that competition at 2 and we’re actually going to read it with with a decibel meter to see who's got the loudest car.” Meyer said they added a new UTV class to this year’s competition. “That’s something new we had been asked to do, last year and at the last minute, we couldn't quite get enough people together so we’re giving it a try this year. It’s something new and there’s a lot of UTV’s out there and people use them like myself. We’ve got a work class and a play class so it will be interesting to see who shows up for that”. Meyer said there’s plenty of other prize giveaways taking place on Saturday as well. “Giving away a Traeger Smoker at our show and what we do there- everyone who registers a car, they get to put their name in a drawing for this Traeger Smoker.
