Iowa State women's basketball adds two transfers

Iowa State women's basketball added two new transfers to it's roster on Sunday.

Lilly Taulelei, a UMASS transfer, announced her commitment via instagram. The 6'3" forward from Weelington, New Zealand averaged 6.7 points per game last season shooting 45% from the field. Taulelei also averaged 2.5 boards and 1.2 assists for a Minutewomen team that went 5-27 last season.

The Cyclones also added Green Bay, Wisconsin native, Lily Hansford from Oregon State. Hansford started two games for the Beavers last season, averaging 5.1 points per game shooting a staggering 44.9% from three point range with 3.1 threes attempted per contest.

Taulelei and Hansford are the two latest additions to a Cyclone team that finished 21-12 a season ago, making it to the Big 12 Championship where they fell to Texas. Iowa State would advance to the round of 32 in the NCAA Tournament where they eventually fell to Stanford. Iowa State also added Sydney Harris (TCU) & Kenzie Hare (Marquette) in the early stages of the offseason.
